Yes, these past few weeks have been rough, but ORANGE you glad we’re a strong community that supports one another? It’s important that we take the time to support our local businesses during difficult times like these. But what’s the best way to do that? Glad you asked! We reached out to our local businesses and asked them what we could do to help support them, and these were their responses:
Felix Continental
“We’re open for take-out, curbside orders and now dine-in! We have outdoor seating making it perfect for a socially distanced meal. Do you prefer delivery? Not a problem! We’re also available through DoorDash and Grubhub. Visit our website to view our menu, and be sure to follow us on Instagram for some drool-worthy tapas and sangria.”
Woody’s Diner
“Woody’s is open for pick-up and now dine-in! The bar is open to the entire restaurant and we are only seating at half-capacity to maintain social distancing. Call (714) 940-0640 to place your order for pick-up.”
Smoqued BBQ
“We’re reopened at half capacity now! All employees are wearing gloves and masks, barbecue sauce and table items are on an ask-basis and everything is bleached every night. However, if you want to pick up, orders can be placed online, or by calling (714) 633-7427. Want it delivered? Smoqued BBQ is also available through Postmates and DoorDash.”
Old Towne Orange Walking Food Tours
“We’re taking a temporary break at the moment, but we are opening June 27 with some new experiences and products for the foodies out there. In the meantime, you can purchase a gift card for a future tour. Save it for a romantic date night, or give it to a recent grad as a gift! Visitor website or Yelp for updates.”
Impact Juice Bar

Tiddlywinks
If you are in the need of a gift for a kid in your life, then you must absolutely support Tiddlywinks. The best toy store in town and owner Jeannie will take your order via Facebook, Instagram or best of all through their website. They are offering free local delivery on orders over $50, and ALL deliveries are free over $100, they’ve curbside pickup too. She’s done it all for me, I’ve ordered several surprise grab bags for today’s drive-by birthdays which I know are all handpicked and wrapped with love by Jeannie. They also just launched a Learn N Play community effort to help kids in need. Tiddlywinks in coincidence with OUSD is calling on the community to provide a Learn N Play bag to all of those kids in the Grab & Go Lunch lines. A donation of $20 will provide a bag filled with items like books, crafts, games, etc., things that will challenge the mind and keep them playing. You can order these via their website, along with many other gifts.
The Dizzy Daisy
Flowers are always welcome in most people’s houses. If you want to send somebody, including yourself, a little love, The Dizzy Daisy is ready with so many beautiful arrangements. You can order directly on their website, they make it so easy, we do it all the time. They are also delivering, so support a local, family-owned flower shop and make somebody’s day! They’re now open for in-store shopping weekdays 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. and Saturday from 10 A.M. to 2P.M.
We know that times are hard now, but we’ll get through this together. If you’re itching to do some retail therapy, or want to skip cooking and do takeout, be sure to think of a local business that you can support!
