Provisions Market and Haven Gastropub Kick It Up a Notch

provisions beersHere at I Heart, we can’t get enough of Provisions. From their 30 craft beers on tap, to their customizable cheese and charcuterie boards that always make us feel fancy, to a selection of nearly 400 bottled beers, there’s always something to look forward to when you’re there, and their absolutely delicious sandwiches keep us coming back for more. Any news about new foods to try and snacks to sample catch our attention immediately, so you can imagine how excited we were to learn that Haven/Provisions had some special news to share with the OTO dining scene. Haven Collective Executive Chef/Partner, Greg Daniels, is bringing a new face to Haven Gastropub and Provisions Market. Chef Zach Scherer is the new guy in town, and he will serve as Sous Chef to Daniels. To kick off his new role he’s introducing some brand new fare to the Provisions menu that gives us just a taste of what he’s all about.

The new menu items are available during all business hours, which is 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to midnight Thursday through Saturday. 

“With the new menu items, my goal is to focus on presenting great-tasting dishes that revolve around seasonal and locally sourced ingredients,” explained Chef Zach, who has worked in other notable kitchens in Orange County, including Taco Maria and Playground. “What guests can look forward to in this seemingly straightforward menu is a bit of the unexpected. I’m excited by technique and culinary craftsmanship, and guests can count on interesting components to the dishes that are crafted, cured, or created in house.”
