Chapman University has announced plans to mix things up for students and visitors looking for some new on-campus dining options. Some alumni and frequent visitors may be familiar with the restaurant staples like Jazzman’s Cafe and World of Wings, which have had their place on Chapman’s campus for several years now. We have a feeling Chapman students will be most excited for the introduction of a fully licensed Starbucks store, with the new Qdoba Mexican Grill and SubConnection coming in at a close second.
Even if you aren’t a Chapman student, you can still stop by and check out these new restaurants. So if you’re craving a change from what’s available in the Orange Plaza, hop on over to Chapman and see what these new restaurants are all about. They’re scheduled for Fall 2015.
Starbucks Coffee features brewed coffees, tazo hot and iced teas, hot and iced handcrafted espresso based and coffee/non-coffee Frappuccino blended beverages. Also offering smoothies, Refreshers, wholesome food including breakfast, lunch, pastry and packaged items, candies, ready-to-drink bottled beverages and juices, retail merchandise and fresh-roasted whole bean coffee.
Location: Starbucks will be located in Beckman Hall where Jazzman’s Café and SubVersions resided. Jazzman Café and SubVersions last date of operation was scheduled for May 24, 2015.
Qdoba Mexican Grill is a fast-casual Mexican restaurant where guests are invited to create their entrée by selecting fresh ingredients from a broad menu of innovative flavors. An open kitchen allows Qdoba to showcase its commitment to high-quality ingredients that are prepared fresh throughout the day – right in front of you.
Location: Qdoba Mexican Grill will be located in Argyros Forum where World of Wings American Grill (WOW) resided. WOW’s last date of operation was scheduled for May 24, 2015. Qdoba will open alongside SubConnection.
SubConnection enticing subs made with high quality meats, garden-fresh produce and fresh breads. Not your ordinary sub shop. The portions are generous and made-to-order. SubConnection satisfies the heartiest appetites.

During the remodel Chapman Restaurant Services will have the following Dining Options available: “Our Summer Restaurants” which will be serving delicious cuisine from May 26th – until mid-August 2015, will have the following hours of operation.

Monday – Friday from 7:30am – 5:30pm
Jamba Juice: Located in Argyros Forum
Monday – Friday from 11am – 4pm
Rotunda Café: Located in the Leatherby Libraries
Monday – Friday from 8am – 10pm
Piazza Food Cart: Located in the Attallah Piazza
Monday – Friday from 11am – 2:30pm
Hopefully the new restaurants get students refreshed and excited for the 2015-2016 school year. If Starbucks doesn’t do that, we don’t know what will.
