With just about a month left before the International Street Fair returns to Orange, excitement is running high!
The Fair, which draws huge crowds each year, is a fantastic weekend-long event dedicated to celebrating cultures from all around the world. Food, beer, crafts, activities, and music from around the world are welcomed to the Circle and Old Towne.
During the Street Fair, the Old Towne Plaza—our favorite place to relax, enjoy the sunshine, and spend time with neighbors—is transformed into an international sensation! The Plaza hosts the festival’s stage, where you can catch some poppin’ tunes, electric beats, and strummin’ hits from around the world. Once you’re done dancing, just stroll over to the craft booths, where local artists have one-of-a-kind handmade treasures for you to take home. They’re great reminders of the fun memories made at the Street Fair, and they’re sure to make you smile! You can also check out the Community Booth to learn about local non-profits, and later entertain your kids over at the Kid’s section.
Of course, how can we talk about the Street Fair and not mention the food? One of the biggest reasons why this event is so fun is because of all the different cultures represented in the food! At the Street Fair, you can gorge on Gyros from the Greek stop, take an international beer taste test (and finally answer the question: which country really makes the best beer?), and share a good ol’ fashioned American funnel cake for dessert. Fifteen ethnic streets with forty-two (!) food and alcohol booths are getting prepped for the big weekend! Go with a group and have everyone try something different, or check out the fair every day to try out all the yummy options!
For anyone who loves to get involved in the community, volunteers are always welcomed! Check out the page linked here to learn how you can volunteer. Roll up your sleeves, and give the Street Fair a hand!
The Orange International Street Fair is September 4-6th in the Orange Plaza. See you there Old Towne!
