I Heart on the Hunt: Girls Night Out

Girls love going out or catching up with their girlfriends all the time!  Whether it’s working out, eating some delicious food, or shopping, girls do almost everything together and have fun doing so! There are countless spots in Old Towne Orange to spend some time with your best girlfriends and enjoy the day! The I Heart Team decided to hang out with the girls and enjoy a few of our favorite activities so we can share them with all of you for a girls night out!

Renee, Blue Frog and Assistance League Thrifting: A great Saturday morning with the girls starts at Blue Frog Bakery. You can get a healthy, hearty breakfast or…go straight for the fancy pastries and muffins. They have great coffee and tables outside to plan our shopping strategy. A fun place to visit is the “Now and Again” Thrift Shop – run by the Orange Assistance League. They often have craft supplies, some vintage and the best book selection! (I think Chapman students & profs contribute to it). Every visit offers something different!

Kelly, Sunspark and Wahoos- Taco Tuesday: If you’re looking for something to do with your girls, I’ve got a great suggestion. Hit Sunspark Yoga for a class on any night, but Tuesday’s are fun because you can head out to Taco Tuesday afterwards. Right around the corner is Wahoo’s and it’s the perfect patio spot to have a beer, some tacos and just hang out after you work out. Now that’s some serious bonding time!

Britt, Tokyo Cafe: There’s no better Girls’ Night than Sushi Night! One of my favorite places to go out with the girls for a good time and some great sushi is Old Towne Orange’s Tokyo Cafe. Whether I’m sitting at the sushi bar or in the dining room, the food is always amazing and the servers are fun and friendly. The atmosphere is great, relaxing but also upbeat and inviting. Another one of my favorites about Tokyo Cafe is that there’s so many yummy things to choose from on the menu; so, for that friend that doesn’t like sushi, there’s still a bunch of choices for you to pick from. My go-to roll will always be the Old Towne Roll, it’s definitely a must try on their menu!

Andrea, Jalapeños and picnic at Chapman: I’ve met some of my best girlfriends during my days at Chapman University, so we love meeting up in Old Towne Orange when we get together. All of us enjoy being outdoors, so our favorite things to do is grab food to-go and eat picnic-style at a spot on campus. I keep a blanket in my car at all times for these types of occasions. There are so many beautiful places to sit at Chapman, so we always change up our location. This time, we decided to grab some mexican food from Jalepenos and sit on the steps of Memorial Hall. I ordered the Sonny’s burritos and my girlfriends all ordered the Enchilada plate. Overall, it was a night of good food, great talks, and beautiful scenery.

Banana Pecan Pancakes are a must have! They also have tons of breakfast options including breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches..YUM!
