Is there anything better than living in Southern California during spring? Here in Old Towne Orange, not many things sound more quaint than sitting on the patio of the Filling Station and enjoying a 70 degree spring day… and a mimosa. According to my most recent Google search, the start of spring is March 20, 2018, for the Northern Hemisphere – meaning spring is on Tuesday, everyone!
Our town is perfect for the passionate walker – people who enjoy spending their time outside, exploring new shops and finding a bite to eat – whether they crave Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean, desserts…I could keep going. What better time to spend walking around outside than in spring?
This week on the blog, we want to share our spring fever with you! We have a 4 week plan that can help you welcome spring into your life in Old Towne Orange:
1. Week One: Spring Exploring – This week, take an evening off the couch to explore Old Towne Orange. Maybe you’re in need of some new clothes, or you’re just trying to get some exercise! Taking an post-dinner walk is the best way to wind down your evening and enjoy the perfect spring weather that is coming!
2. Week Two: Spring Eating – We recently posted an Instagram reminding everyone of the exciting arrival of Urth Caffe in Old Towne Orange. Urth, as many call it, is a delicious restaurant that I’ve had the pleasure to dine at, at their Laguna Beach location. They have a great spring menu! Their website says that they are opening in March 2018 – you can even check it out here! If the grand opening is pushed back, there are still so many other amazing restaurants to be indulging in this spring in Old Towne Orange.
3. Week Three: Spring Night Life – Dancing, drinking, and laughing with friends is the best to do with friends – and you can do it right here in our backyard! The bars and pubs in Old Towne are calling you and your friends to the scene this spring – check them out! If you are new to Old Towne Orange, visiting, or have lived here your entire life, you can always find fun in OTO!
4. Week Four: Spring Cleaning – Spring cleaning is always healthy – physical cleaning and mental cleaning is important for your sanity. It is necessary to take time to clean your room or house and clean your mind by taking a yoga class, Potting Shed workshop, or exercising more! Last year, after me and my roommates cleaned our entire place, we felt ready to take on the rest of the school year, go to work, and live in our space. If you are ever in a rut, cleaning can refresh the mind and body. I couldn’t recommend enough taking the time to clean this spring!
Now, start thinking about these tips and make sure to keep an eye out on the blog for the next few weeks because we will be diving into even more detail about how to relish in this Old Towne Orange spring! Each week, we will try and focus on more spring fever!
Thank you for reading everyone! Have an amazing weekend and we will see you in spring!
