Orange Public Library is Now Offering Free Digital Music Downloads

The Orange Public Library now offers free MP3 music file downloads on its website through Freegal Music.

Freegal Music is an online service that provides access to songs from the entire Sony Music catalog. The music files are DRM-free and do not expire, and are compatible with PCs, Macs, iPods, iPads and other MP3-compatible devices.

Chapman University is Celebrating 150 Years with a Big Birthday Party

Today at 3pm, Chapman University invites all of you out to celebrate their 150th birthday! They are having a Campus Open House with festival booths, children’s activities, free performances, a Campus Art Walk and more. At 3:30 pm, pop into a free class by one of six top professors, or continue to enjoy the free festivities on the Piazza (which will include a display of live Galapagos tortoises and sea slugs, musical instruments, cartoon drawing by the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity and more. After brief remarks by President Jim Doti and Mayor Cavecche at 7:30 pm, a rollicking concert by The Alley Cats will lead into a finale fireworks display! Plus – free hot dogs, chips, lemonade — and a giant birthday cake in the shape of Memorial Hall. Free parking in the Chapman parking structures.

Acupuncture is Awesome!

I am a big proponent of Acupuncture, Osteopaths and other non-traditional types of treating your body’s issues. There have been many times in my life that I have used these types of doc’s to heal whatever it is that I’ve done to myself. Though, there was this one time that my step-dad gave me whiplash while trying to steal my winnings from a very serious game of Kanasta. Yep, he tried to steal a quarter from me and won! I had to go to the ER and had neck problems for EVER that were finally healed from a wonderful Osteopath in Santa Barbara, my first taste of non-traditional methods of healing. Since then, I’ve been hooked.
