Happy Thursday everyone! How is your week going? More importantly, how is all of your holiday shopping going? I know I need to get a move on with mine. Here at I Heart Old Towne Orange, we know who the hardest person to check off of our holiday shopping list is. Dad and Grandpa, of course! What do you get the man in your life who is happy with just beer and football? Luckily, here in Old Towne, we have several merchants who carry a nice selection of items that will make prime gifts for Dad this December. We took a walk (or a short drive) through Old Towne so we could compile a list of the best places to go shopping for Dad, Grandpa, or ANYONE for that matter! Check it out!
Joy Ride – Joy Ride is a vintage men’s clothing store right here in Old Towne! They specialize in fine men’s clothing from the Victorian Era through the 1960’s (& beyond), hat services, unusual collectibles, oddities, plus books & gifts all perfect for the man in your life. Joy Ride will be the ideal stop this winter!
The Potting Shed – The Potting Shed has quickly become one of my favorite places to visit in Old Towne. There are so many good gifts for Dad that we found at The Potting Shed including a BBQ apron with a built-in beer holder and bottle opener, drink stirrers, alpaca socks, a gentleman’s manicure set and so much more. The Potting Shed is so visually overstimulating – take a walk through the shop and you will not be disappointed.
Old Towne Havana – For the man in your life that smokes, Old Towne Havana offers an extensive variety of cigars to satisfy every taste and budget. Their inviting shop has a relaxed atmosphere where on most days you will see a group of friends enjoying their favorite cigar outside of the shop together.
The Dizzy Daisy – Last week, we mentioned how The Dizzy Daisy holds a great selection of small, stocking stuffers such as socks, soaps, and candles. Additionally, The Dizzy Daisy also has a shelf for man’s lotions, travel colognes, and lip balms. These small gifts will have Dad smelling nice and clean in the New Year!
Quality Time – Lastly, the best gift that anyone could ask for is your time. This holiday season, give the gift of quality time by taking your dad out to the movies, to one of the amazing restaurants in Old Towne, or just by taking a walk in Plaza Park (or wherever you may be). As we grow older, fond memories are the best things we can hold on to, and your dad, grandfather, or anyone will be thankful to have those memories with you.
