The Battle of Brunch: What’s Your Fave?

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! I am super excited about this week’s blog because it is all about BRUNCH BRUNCH BRUNCH! It is a word that I have been hearing more and more – and something I have been indulging in more and more, too. Brunch (if you don’t know) is a word that combines “breakfast” and “lunch” and creates a wonderful time in the morning that isn’t TOO early for pancakes or too late for a sandwich, either. Brunch is often paired with good friends, mimosas, and a lazy morning. Brunch is especially good on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays but is also oh-so-sweet during the week (if you have a late start).

Recently, I feel like brunch has taken over my personal life because – why? There are just so many wonderful options for brunch in Old Towne Orange! Two weeks ago I was at Urth Caffe. Last weekend I was at Snooze: an AM Eatery. And this week I was at The Filling Station. I can’t stay away from brunch! So that is why this week I am outlining some of the best brunch spots in OTO… and maybe you all can tell me your favorite, too!

Blue Frog Cafe

Blue Frog is one of the first brunch spots I ever tried in Old Towne Orange and loved it so much! Blue Frog offers your breakfast classics in an adorable atmosphere – with some of the best prices you’ll find on our OTO brunch list. My favorite is the breakfast burrito – which always comes with a side of salsa and fresh fruit. Everything is made daily in-store. Perfect!

The Filling Station

The Filling Station has one of my favorite outdoor patios in all of Old Towne Orange – you could sit there and watch the world go by all day. The Filling Station will not disappoint with their large menu, easy customization, and of course – caffeine selection! The Filling Station offers coffee, espresso, Americano, mochas, juices, teas, chai, mimosas, and more! There is usually a wait at The Filling Station (especially on Sunday mornings) so make sure to make your brunch plans accordingly. (Bonus Tip: If you are vegan, I have asked them to make a potato + veggie scramble a la carte! Delicious!)

Kimmie’s Coffee Cup

Kimmie’s is another OTO classic! One of the most unique aspects of Kimmie’s is her amazing story about fighting for her life and doing what she loves. Read the full story here! As the website states, “Kim has created a warm and cozy place with great comfort food.”

Urth Caffe

Well, of course, Urth is that place with the line around the block! Urth has amazing options for all dietary preferences and picky-eaters alike. Their drink menu is huge and we just cannot stay away from Urth for brunch! If you want to hear our full Urth review, CLICK HERE.

Snooze, an AM Eatery

Again, Snooze is a very popular brunch spot that we are so excited to have in Old Towne Orange! We blogged about Snooze last week, so be sure to click here to hear the sNEWS.

Pandor

Oh boy, do I love me some Pandor! Pandor is a French-inspired bakery located right here on North Glassell St. Pandor offers something different to the brunch line up with authentic crepes, pastries, gelato, and more French brunch items. My favorite thing to get is the tomato avocado tartine and a vanilla latte. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Pandor must be a stop on your Old Towne Orange visit as we head into this weekend. But know that no matter what brunch spot you choose, you’ll be making a great choice.

Have a delicious weekend, everyone! We cannot wait to hear your reviews on these brunch spots and which ones satisfied your late-morning craving. Leave us a comment, check us out on Instagram, and like us on Facebook! Thank you all so much for reading and we will see you around towne!
