So, who out there has tried Acupuncture…anybody? I’m sure there’s a handful of you that have, and that love it as much as I do! No doubt, there’s lots of you very curious minds who would like to try it (and this is the post for you), and as always there’s gonna be the ones who wouldn’t dare get near a needle (that’s ok, we understand). When Chris Bruckener, Green Jade Acupuncture, came to town just down the street from my office (we’re talking walking distance here), I had to, was seriously COMPELLED, to go and try him out ’cause I am definitely IN on acupuncture! Bonus points for being a hop, skip and a jump from my daily grind! Chris had just recently opened up his new office here in Old Towne Orange from his previous Irvine location and reached out to me (smartly) because he wanted to jump right in and reach out to our swell community. I took him on as a sponsor after I had my first appointment because I thought he was great and I wanted to be part of his growth in the community. Now I’ve been receiving treatments from Green Jade for a couple of months and can’t tell you how great it makes me feel. Chris has helped me with pain (his speciality), sickness, and digestive issues. In addition to that, he has also treated several of my local friends that I’ve referred over. Here’s a little story I want to share with you from Jonai, who works with me:
I had never had any interest at all in trying acupuncture…needles are not my thing. But one day, I was coming down with a serious migraine and was on my way out of work when Kelly suggested I give Chris a call. In my semi-conscious state I said why not, and the next thing I knew I was lying in Chris’s office being poked and prodded, feeling nauseous and trying as best I could to answer Chris’s questions. After about an hour, I left Chris’s office nearly migraine free, and totally amazed. I’ve suffered from migraines for as long as I can remember; the kind that comes complete with nausea, light sensitivity, noise sensitivity, and other such fun symptoms. I’ve always learned to either pop as much Advil as I think my liver can handle, or sleep them off. I never even considered acupuncture as a possible treatment.
After my first visit I continued to see Chris for nine more sessions, each time experiencing a reduction in both the severity and frequency of my migraines. Along the way, I learned about more than just migraines; Chris had answers for other things I was experiencing like persistently cold hands and feet, a sensitive stomach, and more. I would HIGHLY recommend acupuncture, and Chris in particular, for people who suffer from chronic migraines.
The BEST PART here is the both Chris and Sharon are offering a great deal for you, my amazing readers, for your FIRST appointment with them. Acupuncture treatment at $30, followed by an hour-long massage for $30. You can book them together or you can book only a massage or only acupuncture. Your choice, but if I were you, I’d go for the $60 combo, which will be about a 2 hour appointment.
