Growl is full of delicious and healthy choices for all tastes and is run by a fun and passionate group of people. I gotta tell you, there are major perks to doing what I do and I’m going to lay it out for you right here. I get to meet the coolest people just by making a few quiet clicks of my keyboard. Don’t get me wrong, it’s taken me a few years to get to this place and I’ve worked hard to foster this amazing online community, but it’s all worth it, and for so many reasons. You’ve heard the rumors and seen the signs, Provisions Market is opening up any day now in Old Towne Orange. I’ve had the extra lucky privilege of visiting this fantastic new Market a couple of times in the last couple of weeks and I am excited for them to open!! Provisions is the latest adventure from Haven Collective, who’s first restaurant is our own Haven Gastropub.
Today is a pretty momentous day, for it is the celebration of a very special birthday. Her name is Lydia Schroeder and today she turns 100 years young. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Miss Lydia last week after I heard she’d been honored at our recent 125 years as a city celebration. Lydia, who’s maiden name is Walker, has lived in the City of Orange for 92 years, making her our longest living resident…how cool is that!
