The Year of Exploring, Loving, and Caring for Old Towne Orange (and Urth Caffe Announcement)

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! More importantly right now, welcome to 2019! IT’S 2019! Can you believe that? In 2018, we got to share the best stories, restaurants, events, and people that Old Towne Orange has to offer and trust me, 2019 is looking even better. With this new year (and changes coming to OTO) come opportunities to share even more OTO love with you all!

This week, we want to share our top New Year’s Resolutions with you all – resolutions that you can achieve right here in Old Towne (or very close by). The best part of these resolutions is that you can take them and make them as serious or relaxed as fits your lifestyle. Check out the resolutions. Get inspired. It’s 2019, and we can’t wait to take you along for the ride.

Move More

I know, I know. This seems very cliche. But to be fair, there is something fresh and exciting about getting on a workout routine when the new year hits. It’s a time where people are motivated to make a change in their lives, so finding a workout partner should be easy! Fortunately, OTO has some awesome fitness/workout studios. If you’re looking to find your zen, SunSpark Yoga will be your new best friend in 2019. Hit The Mark Fitness is high-intensity weight loss and results-oriented Bootcamp for those looking to break a sweat. At Pilates Encore, they offer full body workouts for duos, trios, and singles. Lastly, PaKua Orange will be your home of martial arts training and classes. Give all of these outstanding studios (and your body) some love in the new year.

Explore More

A personal goal of mine has always been to get out and see more! We live in Southern California, the best place for sight-seeing, exploring, hiking, and trying new things. Of course, Old Towne Orange is always my #1 recommendation to anyone visiting the SoCal area. But beyond that, some of my favorite places to go that are within a short driving distance are

  1. Crystal Cove Beach and Hike – Newport Beach – Make it as difficult or as easy as you want!
  2. Inspiration Point – Corona del MarĀ  – Watch the sunset with loved ones.
  3. Anaheim Packing House – Some of the most fun eats just a city over.
  4. Downtown Fullerton – Nightlife, shopping, and coffee!
  5. The LAB Anti-Mall – Costa Mesa – Thrift shopping, hipster restaurants, and art.
  6. Old Towne Orange, California – Only the best city on Earth! You all get it.

Explore more in 2019! You won’t regret it.

Eat More

If you’re new to the blog, welcome! If you’ve been with us for some time, you know that we have some of the finest dining for all ages and group sizes here in OTO. And 2019 is only going to make that better. EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT: The long-awaited Urth Caffe is opening their doors this Monday, Jan 7! FINALLY! We’re so excited to be welcoming them to our home in just a few short days so be sure to read next week’s blog for our full Urth Caffe review!!. Moreover, Snooze AM Eatery is coming to Old Towne Orange in 2019 – just down the street from Urth Caffe. If you don’t know, get on board because Snooze (as it’s called) is a fantastic modern brunch place offering creative twists on America’s favorite breakfast classics (with vegan options available!).

I’m calling it now. 2019 will be a year of good eating in Old Towne Orange, and you can count on us to give you the full review each step of the way!

Love More

Lastly, I want to love more in 2019 and I challenge you to do the same in whatever form that takes for you. For some, it might be telling those around them how important they are. For others, it is acts of service and kindness and for some, it can be as simple as sharing a smile with a stranger as you pass them. In the fight for tolerance, acceptance, and love in 2019, the littlest acts can make the biggest impacts.

Thank you again for reading, and join us in welcoming 2019! We cannot wait to share with you all what we have in store this year. Happy New Year! With love,

I Heart Old Towne Orange
