Pediatric Dentist Eduardo Correa, D.D.S. in Old Towne Orange

You may be aware that a Pediatric Dentist by the name of Eduardo Correa moved his practice into Old Towne Orange just about a year ago (he actually opened during Street Fair last year). You may have even seen his signs just down the street from The Filling Station as you’re heading to Chapman U and perhaps you’ve thought to yourself….’hmmm, good to know’, right? Of course, when it comes to our kids, we mothers can be pretty skeptical, especially as it relates to the dentist and the traumatic potential that lies within…it’s very important to get them to a kind, children-focused practice so that they have a really good experience when they’re young (I say this all because ‘dentists and me’…not a good mix).

Matoska Trading Company

You may have noticed a new business in town called Matoska Trading Company. They’ve been open for several months now and I most recently had the chance to go in and learn a little more about what they sell to share with you, as I myself, was quite curious. If you haven’t seen their storefront, I’m sure you’ve perhaps smelled it because when their doors are open the distinct notes of Sage are wafting down the street.

A Tale of Two Fountains

I want to thank one of my readers for suggesting that I start writing about the history of Old Towne Orange. I personally know very little about Old Towne’s history, so I enlisted a guest blogger,Renee Dallas who runs the OTO Walking Food Tours, to write up some historical tidbits that we could all enjoy reading. The Plaza (also known as “The Circle” to many), and her beloved fountain are one of the best known and loved landmarks in Orange County. Whenever you drive through Old Towne, you’ll see people relaxing by the fountain with kids, pets and taking photos of loved ones. It has become a symbol for the community spirit so noteworthy in Orange.
