#OrangeYouNice > Care Kits for the Homeless

Hi Orange friends and beyond! I’m hoping to move you to get behind this amazing cause with me to help HomeAid raise the $5,000 needed to create the next round of Care Kits for our homeless in Orange County. Most of the work I do is in the building industry, so HomeAid is an organization that has touched my career and life for nearly 20 years. I recently learned about these Care Kits and fell in love with the idea, wanting to help in any way I could to help raise the money needed to create the kits. I, myself, have handed out these Care Kits many times and make it a point to keep my car stocked with them.

Here’s a little info about the Care Kits themselves, which you’ll also find on their GoFundMe page:

There are over 15,000 people who experience homelessness in Orange County, California annually.
CareKits_ItsFunny_253x108Donate now and help us buy supplies for our signature HomeAid OC CareKits. Each CareKit contains toiletries, water and 1 snack item. Toiletries are hard come by when you’re homeless. These thoughtful, little orange bags are given to Orange County homeless and in-need individuals on the streets. When they receive our CareKits, you should see their faces. They are so thankful. This simple yet personal outreach makes a difference. In our busy world, we can sometimes take for granted how great it feels to brush our teeth, or have sunscreen when it’s sunny outside, or put on a fresh, new and clean pair of socks. Everyone deserves to feel clean. Everyone deserves to feel less alone.

I would so appreciate you getting behind this cause and donating a few dollars to help HomeAid reach their goal. Then if you could also help to spread the word by sharing their GoFundMe page or this blog post, that would be simply amazing! Let’s help them reach their goal by the end of October!

Thank you all for your spirit and willingness to give. Orange is the best and so I think the hashtag #OrangeYouNice perfectly sums up who we are as a community.
