Many locals and visitors alike pass through this alley in Old Towne Orange, located between the Antique Station and Haven Gastropub, as they make their way to their destination du jour not realizing they’re passing by some not so hidden treasures outside the buildings along the way.
On a recent visit, I found this old black steamer trunk I instantly fell in love with. Dated around the late 1800s, it had wheels added to the bottom around the 1940s.
Wouldn’t this make a great coffee or side table? Or picture it snuggled up to the end of your bed, providing great extra storage.
If you see something you’d like to add to your home décor, just look for Tony. He’s easy to spot but hard to catch as he enthusiastically arranges his antiques, answers questions, and helps if needed.
