Operation Christmas Child’s National Collection Week

November 16, 2015 - November 23, 2015

Local Volunteers join Samaritan’s Purse to Collect Shoebox Gifts for Children in Poverty Around the World. This annual project is a favorite to many families, churches, and community members. From this project, millions of children are filled with joy!

It is a simple way to fill a shoebox with small gifts to give to a child in need. Operation Christmas Child is a Project of Samaritan’s Purse since 1993 and has delivered gift-filled shoeboxes to more than 124 million children in more than 150 countries and territories. For many of these children, it is the first gift they have ever received.

The drop off locations in the City of Orange are Calvary Chapel Old Towne at 221 N. Waverly St. and Orange Lutheran High School at 2222 N. Santiago Blvd. It is an amazing opportunity to give back during this holiday season!

For more information about how to participate and drop-off location hours, you can visit samaritanspurse.org/occ or call 714-432-7030. On the Samaritan’s website, you can also pack a personalized Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift and participants can track where their gift is delivered. These gifts of hope will go to children in some of the hardest-to-reach countries.
