I Heart on the Hunt: The Happiest of Happy Hours

What makes a long work day more enjoyable? Knowing that you’ve got some friends, some good food, and some cheap drinks waiting for you on the other side! That’s why we’re putting together a list of our favorite local happy hours (reminiscent of our hilarious Orange You Glad It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere videos HERE and HERE!). Read on for our favorite spots:

citrus cityKelly’s Fave: Definitely has to be Citrus City Grille! I love, love, love their patio, it’s definitely the best people watching in OTO. Citrus does a great happy hour, they have a full menu just for their long happy hour, which starts around 3pm on the patio and at the bar and goes until 9pm! They serve up not only some great drinks on special, like martini’s, wine and beer, but they also have some fantastic happy hour snacks. Their HH food is basically smaller portions of their regular menu items, bacon wrapped dates anyone? Mac n’ Cheese? It’s a terrific spot for a girls night, a date night or to take the family. We LOVE CCG’s Happy Hour!!

Jillian’s Fave: I LOVE all Mexican food, and El Ranchito’s Happy Hour is one of my favorites. It runs every Monday-Friday from 3pm- 6pm, and it’s the perfect spot to meet up with friends after work for dinner and a margarita. All of their margaritas are amazing, but I especially love their Skinny Margarita made with agave. It’s the best! I always love the service and the vibe here, and they make sure you’re well taken care of.  They also have a great porch for enjoying warm evenings, and you’ll find me there A LOT this summer!

The homemade potato chips are an amazing starter to share with the table and they come with the tastiest garlic aioli EVER. Or try the truffle pommes frites! So delish. They have a ton of their popular menu items on Happy Hour special but my favorites are the roasted spaghetti squash (super filling!), the mac n’ cheese, the wagyu beef cheek poutine or, if I’m feeling adventurous, the fried pig ears! They don’t have a discount on drinks but their beer menu is always on point, so I still consider it a great Happy Hour spot! And to make it even more fun, you can do a beer or wine flight!

We couldn’t visit all of our favorite spots this time, but here are a few others that we love:

Rutabegorez has an awesome Happy Hour Monday-Friday  from 4pm-6pm. This menu features nachos, beer, hummus, sangria and a whole lot of other tasty snacks!

The District Lounge always has fun deals going on, so be sure to check their FB page to see their specials each week!

The Streamliner Lounge is another great spot to grab a drink after work! Be sure to check out our video in the intro to get a taste of their Happy Hour!

Do you have a favorite Happy Hour spot? Tell us about it, and we’ll add it to the list!
