I Heart on the Hunt: St. Patrick’s Day Fun

The luck of the Irish is on our side this year as St. Patrick’s Day conveniently falls on a Friday. As we begin planning the holiday shenanigans you may be wondering where to kick off the weekend in grand green style. We’ve already begun the celebrations by cooking up a Traditional Irish Feast. It’s certainly easy to be green over at Watson’s Soda Fountain Cafe this year! They’re pulling out all the stops wiFullSizeRender 2th a specialty St. Patrick’s Day menu that sounds too good to pass up. From Friday until Sunday they will be serving corned beef and cabbage dishes from breakfast until dinner. Also, the bar is going to be fully stocked with Irish drinks and cocktails for everyone to enjoy. Kick off the holiday celebrations on Friday at 11:30AM by listening to a live bagpipe performance while enjoying a side of Irish Eggs Benedict! If you’re craving more St. Paddy’s day fun, stop in and enjoy their Guinness Shake for only $5.00 all March long!

If you’re looking for a second spot to score, you’ll certainly get lucky at The District Lounge. Word around the circle says that they will be serving Irish inspired finger food to be perfectly paired with your pint of choice. There’s going to be corned beef tacos, corned beef sliders, Irish nachos, Irish guacamole and more! If you dare, take on their $11.00 Irish Trash Cans that’s served in a 14 oz mason jar!

Who says St. Patrick’s Day can’t be fun and healthy? Mead’s Green Door Cafe is planning a special shepherd’s pie to commemorate the holiday. Yes, this dish will be vegan and vegetarian friendly! Even if you’re a meat lover, don’t let this stop you. Everything they make is amazing, and we promise you won’t FullSizeRendertaste the difference. While you’re there, don’t forget to try one of their refreshingly
delicious (naturally) green smoothies. Stop by for some guilt free green fun!

The Wall Restaurant, one of the newest additions to the circle will also be celebrating the holiday. They are still planning their surprise food specials, but they will be highlighting many Irish beers. If you haven’t been, The Wall is home to a massive tap wall that has over 50 types of craft beer, wine, kombucha and nitro coffee. Their “pour-it-yourself” experience invites guests to sample as many beverages as they desire. Even if you’re looking for a more relaxing way to spend the evening, we know the perfect location! The Streamliner Lounge will have their usual happy hour starting at 3:45 pm. Get into the holiday spirit by trying one of their famous Irish Coffees! We love relaxing and people watching the train-goers after a long work week!
