This Saturday, August 13th, the Orange Candy Company and the Bite Market are celebrating their one year anniversary in Old Towne Orange!

To celebrate, the first 100 customers at The Orange Candy Company will get a free Abba-Zaba! All of their 10 cent barrel candy will be half-off (only 5 cents!) all day as well. Make sure to bring your kids by between 11am-2pm to get balloon animals and other shapes made by the balloon artist!

Have kids that love art? There are two awesome art camps going on this summer that you should sign ‘em up for!

At the Kids Art Camp at Schroeder Studio Gallery July 18th-22nd from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., your children will be introduced to various media and be able to explore their own artistic expressions.

The Bite Market is also putting on a Kids Summer Character Design Class. It’s all about how to create characters from cartoons which kids will be sure to love!

The Bite Market just launched their online store. I think this is pretty exciting stuff, especially for those of us who are busy and shop late at night or lazy and just love our computers (I definitely ‘heart’ my MacBook). Anyway, as The Bite Market picks up awareness by ‘us’ locals (and hopefully we’ve been telling ALL our friends about them), I’m happy for this next step of theirs.

While the Bite Market has officially been open for a few months now, TODAY, November 13, they will be celebrating with a Grand Opening Party and a Ribbon Cutting. Our recently re-elected Mayor Carolyn Cavecche will be attending to do the official duty. The Bite Market will be celebrating all day with fun activities including a face painter and balloon artist, so be sure to bring the kids down to say hello.
