I love a good cause, but when there’s wine tasting involved, then I’m a real believer. This sounds like a great event that I wanted to share with you because it’s for a local cause, and it truly is a good one. Better yet, it’s at Opus Italian Restaurant and as I said, there’ll be wine tasting…

The 6th Annual Evening D’Vine Fundraiser is an event to raise funds for the Friendly Center, a dynamic resource center in Orange dedicated to improving the lives of families in need through immediate aid and a variety of educational and life skill programs. I had to share with everybody a couple of things going on this weekend that you might be interested in.

I finally had the opportunity to have dinner at Francoli Gourmet. I’d heard a lot of hype, both good and bad, but being someone who loves food, and loves trying new places, I wanted to make up my own mind. I had never been to Francoli at it’s Newport location, so this would be my first experience with them. While my expectations were high, I’d actually heard quite a few negative comments about the service (though none really about the food), so I wasn’t sure what to expect.

“Well, we finally made it to Francoli’s Resturant at it’s new location in Orange. We went on a Monday evening and it was already getting crowded at 6pm. They don’t take reservations and they do have limited seating, but I came by about 30 minutes before we were meeting our friends and they were kind enough to reserve a table for 6 for me. We definitely got the best table…”
