It’s always a great time to get involved, and with the 22nd annual CHOC Walk coming up, it’s a better time than ever! Last year, over 14,000 participants raised over $1.7 million helping to support the care, services, education and research that CHOC provides children. So this year, we want to make that number even bigger!

Prom is a night to celebrate friends and a time to make memories that will last a lifetime. A generous teacher at Orange High is putting together a donation drive for money and dresses/accessories to help assist students who are financially unable to attend this memory making occasion and try to include as many Panthers as possible.

On Sunday, April 15, 2012, the Orange Sunrise Rotary will proudly be hosting the 18th Annual Orange Plaza Car Show, the proceeds of which will help fund the YMCA of Orange’s youth education and literacy programs. An impressive assortment of 425 pre-1975 Street Rods, Custom, and Classic vehicles will be on display at this event.

American Celebration is a spectacular live song-and-dance stage show produced by Chapman University students and faculty. The entertainment will be provided by a cast of more than 100 singing and dancing students from Chapman’s acclaimed College of Performing Arts, with live orchestra, in fully produced scenes from Broadway’s hottest shows. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, American Celebration has grown to be one of the county’s largest fundraising events with proceeds of nearly $20 million contributing to the Chapman Scholarship Fund.

Help out those with cancer and get a great haircut in the process! Artistic Hair is hosting an event on Sunday, October 16th from 9am-3pm where all profits will be given to the Jill Foundation, a non-profit organization that financially helps out hairdressers in Orange who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Six years ago, Jill Kester lost the battle to breast cancer and in her honor, the Jill Foundation was created.

Shop at Barnes & Noble on Main St. in Orange from August 7th-20th and help support Orange Public Library! A portion of what you spend will go back to the library if you mention the Orange Public Library or bring a voucher (that you can pick up from the library) to the register. This is a great time to buy your kids’ summer reading books or that book that you’ve been wanting to pick up!
