10/16 The Jill Foundation's 2nd Annual Cut For the Cure

Help out those with cancer and get a great haircut in the process! Artistic Hair is hosting an event on Sunday, October 16th from 9am-3pm where all profits will be given to the Jill Foundation, a non-profit organization that financially helps out hairdressers in Orange who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Six years ago, Jill Kester lost the battle to breast cancer and in her honor, the Jill Foundation was created.

Haircuts for the Cure – October 17

If you've been meaning to get your hair cut then this is a great incentive. It's the Jill Foundation's 1st Annual Cut for the Cure. This event isn't exactly in OTO, but it is in Orange and it's for a great cause. For a $15 donation you can get a shampoo and cut. There will also be $1 raffle tickets for lots of great prizes. The event takes place at Artistic Hair, who has put on this event for the last 13 years and has raised over $100,000 for the American Cancer Society. This year, they started the Jill Foundation, in honor of their co-worker and friend Jill Etzold Kester, who lost her battle to breast cancer 6 years ago. This foundation was formed to help hairdressers in the City of Orange who are stricken with this disease.
