As I walked up to Orange Circle Tattoo on E. Chapman this weekend, I first noticed a sweet black hot rod with music pouring out of it parked outside. When I walked inside, it was not at all what I expected it be. It was like walking into a tiki bar/art gallery rather than a typical tattoo parlor. On July 15th, there is a new exhibit starting at Copperwood Artware that will be going on through August 21st. It is a solo exhibit featuring the artwork of Darcie Copeland. The theme of the exhibit is “What is a Rebus?” Come to the gallery and view Darcie’s artwork to play the Rebus game, which they call the “Darcie game” at Copperwood Artware. A Rebus (or Darcie) game involves solving a rebus puzzle which uses obvious and hidden clues in the artwork so that the viewer can guess the title of the piece. The reception for the artist is Saturday, July 16th from 6 to 9 pm. For more information, please go HERE.

Copperwood Artware is hosting an Artist’s Reception on Saturday, May 14 from 6 to 9pm. Come and meet with the Artists. Discover their inspiration and artwork in Copperwood Artware’s first themed exhibit “My Own Backyard.”
All of their artists were invited to participate in the exhibit. The only guideline the artists were given was to give us a look into their own backyards. Be it their towns, favorite coffee house, street or actual backyard. Come and see what inspires an artist.
