A Breakdown of the Orange International Street Fair

It’s finally time for the annual Orange International Street Fair! This event runs on Friday night (5 pm to 10 pm), Saturday (10 am to 10 pm), and Sunday (10 am to 10 pm), but all alcohol sales end every night at 9 pm. This is such a magical event in Old Towne Orange. It brings the community together and brings tourists into our towne! All food and alcohol booths are run by local non-profits and all proceeds go back directly to them. The Handmade Arts and Crafts booths feature local artists, the Community Booth section showcases local non-profits and the causes they support, and the Commercial Section features local companies.

There is just SO much going on during the street fair! We decided to give you a breakdown of some of the food we are most excited about! But click here for a FULL list of food and participants at this year’s Orange International Street Fair!

ALL-AMERICAN STREET

There are so many non-profits and yummy comfort food booths on All-American Street. You’ll find classic American food like corn dogs and funnel cakes, but we are most excited to bite into a warm and cheesy Philly Cheesesteak! And then grab a frozen banana because you know how HOT this weekend can get!

ENGLISH STREET

On English Street, you can find one of my personal fave meals from the Street Fair. If you’re a fan of this English classic, you’ve got to try the Fish and Chips here! It comes with two large pieces of beautifully breaded fish and a handful of warm fries (chips)! It’s so good, I think about it all year round!

GREEK STREET

There’s always an extremely long line for the Gyros on Greek Street. But don’t fret, the workers on Greek Street crank out the Gyros like you would not believe. They are surprisingly refreshing because of the crisp red onions, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce that are paired alongside the perfectly cooked meat. This line is absolutely worth the wait!

ITALIAN STREET

I’m counting down the seconds until I have a Meatball Sandwich from Italian Street! The bread is filled with meatballs that are smothered in delish marinara sauce. Or if you’re not a meatball fan, you can get the sandwich with sausage instead. What’s your favorite dish from Italian Street? Let us know in the comments!

POLYNESIAN STREET

Polynesian Street is often underrated! This street features some mouth-watering Kalua Pork Sliders! The meal comes with three small sliders, but the buns are filled with sweet pulled pork and the perfect amount of sauteed cabbage! Or if you’re looking for a refreshing way to stay cool, try their Frozen Fruit Bars.

Those are a few of our faves, but of course, there’s Mexican Street (home to the mouth-watering corn on the cobb with all the fixings and my favorite quesadillas!), Australian Street, Ginza Street, Swill and German street (where you’ll find the Brats!), Irish Street, France Street and Danish Street (always a big line for their famous Danish Donuts or Aebleskiver, yum!).

Tell us what you love about the annual OISF in the comments and enjoy this fun video from last year’s event!
