There’s a New Ice Cream Man In Town – Kona Ice Truck

I was hanging out at my house on Saturday, when my neighbor gave me a call to tell me that she was eating the most delicious shaved ice and was sending the truck on down to my house. Luckily we were just finishing up dinner, so the kids and I headed out front to wait. Before we saw the truck turn the corner, we could hear it playing some Hawaiian tunes, nice and loud. As it made its way to our house, it was of course mobbed, so we waited a little longer, but it was fun to watch and listen…it was like a party going on in our neighborhood!

Metropolitan Crepes are DEEElicious!

Ok, so I finally had a chance to pop over to the new Metropolitan Crepes in Old Towne Orange. If you haven’t heard of it, they are located at 152 N Glassell, right next to Jalapeno’s (there used to be a deli in that location). It’s actually a terrific location in OTO!

I’m sure you all know by know that I am a total foodie, I love it all and say bring it on, so I was excited to go and try this Creperie. They’ve got a delicious looking menu with breakfast crepes, and both sweet and savory selections.

Guerilla Beekeepers are Seriously “The Bees Knees”

This story is about Guerilla Beekeepers, and it started because my lovely neighbors Shannon and Alex had a hive that needed removing…and I got a text about what a great story this would make on my blog! In no time at all, I received a call from Bill Walter, we had an exchange, and now I’m writing about him. Their bee biz is located in Silverado Canyon, but they can be found at our very own Farmer’s and Artisans Market each Saturday morning. In fact, I’ve already bought their honey several times and found it to be DELISH!

Like Burgers? Check Out Blue Frog Cafe!

Many of you may remember that I went and ate at Blue Frog Cafe on the first day they opened. I had no intention of really writing them up because that’s just not fair. First days are chaos and theirs was no different! I did like the burger that day, but many mistakes were made in both mine and my friend’s order. SOOOOO, today I went back to give them a real try. I’ve been hearing mixed reviews from you all, so it was time I headed in there myself.

June 11 – Lily’s Lemonade Fundraiser to Fight Cancer

I’m sure that many of you have heard of Alex’s Lemonade Stand and how this amazing 4-year old girl started a national trend for kids to contribute to raising awareness and funds for Cancer research. Well, right here in our own backyard, 8-year old Lillith will be holding her 2nd Lemonade Stand to raise funds for Pediatric Cancer Research.

Yummy, Yummy Bruxie is the new Dish in Towne!

Well, it took me all of 4 days to finally make it over to Bruxie, the new hot spot in town. I was actually glad I’d waited because with 2 youngsters in tow, waiting a super long time for dinner to be served is just not fun. I have to say that there is some serious buzz going on out there about Bruxie and this crazy idea of waffle sandwiches. Most of the buzz good, some of the buzz not-so-great.
