Ruby's Diner and Streamliner Lounge Grand Opens Tomorrow, April 19 in Old Towne Orange

Woo hoo, I’m so excited for this opening. I’ve, very luckily, had the pleasure of dining at Ruby’s test service twice and I’m in, totally in! They are opening to the public tomorrow, April 19. What they’ve done with the interiors of the restaurant are so much fun and I’ve included some photos below. Not only will this Ruby’s be serving up their delicious and original menu, but they have created a separate menu for the Streamliner Lounge.

I dined in both the Ruby’s restaurant side and the Streamliner Lounge and each has its own unique feel and menu. The Streamliner Lounge has a full bar and lots of high table seating. There’s also an adjoining lounge with additional tables and seating. From the bar menu, we tried the Lobster Mac N Cheese and this incredible burger (it was the best on the table) with a big green chile on it. We also sampled their Cajun Fries, Parmesan Fries and Garlic Fries…if you like (love) garlic, then you’re going to go crazy for their Garlic Fries (they would be perfect for the Stinking Rose up in LA).

From the Ruby’s menu, I got the Cajun spiced sliders (they were called something else, but Cajun spices was in the description) and the Cajun Fries. Both were delicious. My dad got the Blue Cheese Burger, which was good. I mean, you can’t really go wrong with a Ruby’s burger!

The decor in the restaurant isn’t what you’d normally see in a Ruby’s, as they have remained consistent with the Train Depot theme. In addition to the restaurant and lounge, they have another room for banquets or meetings. It’s actually a pretty awesome area. It has lots of windows looking out on to the lawn and the train platform. It would be great for corporate meetings, but also wedding rehearsals, bridal showers, birthday parties…it’s really a great space.

Here’s some photos of the newest spot in OTO! You can also see some much better photos taken HERE by Fastfood Maven.

Ruby’s Diner and Streamliner Lounge are located at the Train Depot in Old Towne Orange, 186 N Atchison St.
