You’ve heard the rumors and seen the signs, Provisions Market is opening up any day now in Old Towne Orange. I’ve had the extra lucky privilege of visiting this fantastic new Market a couple of times in the last couple of weeks and I am excited for them to open!! Provisions is the latest adventure from Haven Collective, who’s first restaurant is our own Haven Gastropub.

For those of you that haven’t already heard, LinX Artisan Sausage officially opens in Old Towne Orange this Thursday, February 7, 2013. I went to their preview last Friday night and loved it, the whole concept. It’s itty bitty inside, but it’s got a great vibe, which is kind of similar to Haven Gastropub, but a completely different experience.

I am so excited to tell you about the opening of this new restaurant in Old Towne Orange. This is one right after my own tastebuds! If you were familiar with PJ’s Abbey (now the location of El Ranchito), then you are familiar with the Mead’s, a local family deeply rooted in our community. When the Mead’s closed down the Abbey, plans quickly went into place for what would become Mead’s Green Door Cafe.

I’m going to come clean right at the beginning of this post. I really enjoyed Smoqued BBQ, the newest in Old Towne Orange tastiness. I went last night with the family to give it a try and we were impressed. We had been to Beach Pit several times and while we weren’t huge fans, we still enjoyed it when we were in the mood. Well, last night we were in the mood for BBQ and Smoqued delivered.

Anybody been to Old Towne Diner yet, right here in OTO? I stopped by last night with my son to check it out. The place was cute, very old timey with red pleathery booths, juke boxes on each table (that actually do work which is fun) and a simple American style menu. The look and feel pretty much deliver on the name.

Ok, so I finally had a chance to pop over to the new Metropolitan Crepes in Old Towne Orange. If you haven’t heard of it, they are located at 152 N Glassell, right next to Jalapeno’s (there used to be a deli in that location). It’s actually a terrific location in OTO!

I’m sure you all know by know that I am a total foodie, I love it all and say bring it on, so I was excited to go and try this Creperie. They’ve got a delicious looking menu with breakfast crepes, and both sweet and savory selections.
