Welcoming Chapman Crafted to Old Towne Orange

Now that we have officially embarked upon the new school season, you may find yourself back in work mode. However, we know that our warm summer weather probably isn’t going anywhere (at least not any time soon). And, we believe it’s our duty, as Southern California residents, to take full advantage of our extended summer, right? I mean, we don’t want to disappoint our country! As we prepare for the days to be shorter and the nights to get cooler Chapman Crafted is our new favorite spot to kick back with a cool, crisp beer.

We’ve been hearing a lot of buzz from the locals about the new brewery and tasting room that premiered in Old Towne Orange. News has quickly been traveling throughout the city as many heard that familiar and talented Will Dee, Director/Partner of Haven Gastropub and Provisions Market, is co-founder of OTO’s latest brewery. He teamed up with brewer and beer guru Brian Thorson to create the perfect beer destination in Old Towne.
IMG_3089Keep your eyes peeled for Chapman Crafted located on 123 N Cypress St, Orange, CA 92866. Situated one street over from Ruby’s Diner, you just may drive right past it if you’re not looking carefully. The entrance is next to a large garage door under a branded black tent. Once you walk inside you will enter an industrial lover’s dream. Every modern decor detail is on display from the exposed piping to the metal furnishings which complement the steel brewing tanks. String lights artfully hang above the seating area creating a relaxing and laid back ambiance. This intimate tasting room provides a perfect setting that seats around 40 with seven long tables. They are already planning on expanding the main area to make space for more seating!

The IHOTO team was anxious to visit the new addition to see what the hype w13906587_10154415754604555_1703270247617577204_nas about. You may order any beer in an official Chapman Crafted glass or try multiple varieties in a flight of four. To no surprise, our team could not try just one beer, so we opted for the flights. If you’re an IPA lover like me, we highly recommend sampling Yes Chef, Personal Space, My Two Dollars, and Azacca to Me. Although Yes Chef and Personal Space are not IPA’s, there was still enough hop to satisfy my palate. Whichever of their 10 taps ranks as your #1 they offer a growler you can take home and enjoy.
