Let’s talk about the amazing food that the Orange International Street Fair offers. Upon walking into the grounds you will notice banners strung between the buildings to guide you through the festival. These signs highlight various countries food you can taste. There are a total of 15 different ethnicities being represented this year from across the globe. Transport your palate around the world and taste food from countries like Australia, Switzerland, Ireland, and Greece just to name a few. These booths will be running North and South on Glassell Street and East and West on Chapman Avenue covering the core of Old Towne. The festival has been known to create a serious ‘love at first bite’ connection with many delicious treats that will catch your eye, but try to brace yourself! Make the rounds for a quick festival overview or slowly sample your way through different parts of the world. With what almost seems like an endless array of possibilities you'll definitely want to arrive on an empty stomach. Word of advice----save a space for the gastronomically delicious Danish Doughnuts, juicy Bratwurst, or Greek Calamari!

Not only is this annual event famous for its food and shopping but one of the best parts is the live music! There will be nine different stages so everyone is bound to find a genre that they enjoy. Local bands will be playing your favorite contemporary, old school, and ethnic tunes. View the full entertainment schedule HERE. Stay cool during this warm Labor Day weekend by grabbing a beer and rocking out to some great sounds by talented performers.
Have we persuaded you to add this festival to your "must attend" list? Here are a couple of helpful tips to make the process run a little smoother. Parking is first-come, first-served so it may be challenging to find a parking place and you should be prepared to walk several blocks so wear comfy shoes (if you're super local, definitely ride a bike or just walk). If you’re traveling from surrounding areas there are many options for you to get to and from the festival. A suggestion is to consider taking The Metrolink. The Orange Station is only two blocks away from the event. Uber and Lyft are also readily available so there is no need to drive.
The Orange International Street Fair is not only one of the town’s most anticipated events of the year but it’s very beneficial for our community. All the food and drink booths are run by local, non-profit organizations so the proceeds directly benefit their companies. This event is free. Drink wristbands are $3.00.
