Fit Foods On the Go provided samples free of charge, but these opinions are my own.
If there's one thing I love, it's eating. I especially love eating healthy, whole foods. Don't get me wrong, I love my Stouffer's Mac n' Cheese too, but I try to keep those few and far between. My friends and loved ones know that I LOVE cooking. Cooking is where it's at for me and it's why my kitchen is my happy place. Of course, I love going out to eat as well, it's really quite hard to balance the two. The essence of my point is that I love to eat! Now that I've made that clear, I want to introduce you to a new concept in healthy food, and the best part is that it's locally made and delivered right to your door. I'm talking about Fit Foods On the Go.
Meet Jen Goodman, creator of Fit Foods On the Go. She's a go-getter living a healthy lifestyle with her family. We go back through friends, but I officially got to know her better while going to Hit the Mark Fitness, the most fabulous bootcamp in the OC! During her bootcamp transformation turned lifestyle, she conceived this idea for creating her own business focused on cooking and delivering a healthy menu that follows the PALEO or WHOLE30 diets, in addition to her simple, healthy and wholesome meals for the heart-smart family! Because she's so fabulous, she's just created this 4-day meal prep plan so you can get started on your own. Click here to download prepping tips, recipes and shopping lists to get started.

But first, let me show you some of the foods I tasted. Everything was really good, but my absolute favorite of the bunch, that I could eat over and over again was the Bruschetta Chicken, OMG, was that delicious!
Breakfast - Fit Foods offers several breakfast items on their menu. I tried a couple of different oatmeals with fruit, all prepared and ready to heat up in the microwave. Both were really good, and quite filling.
Tex Mex Rice Bowl - This was my first dinner meal that I tried with the kids. We all really loved it and it easily fed the 3 of us, though it may have been a serving for 2...but my kids don't eat much so I can stretch food. As you can see, it comes in an easy to work with, store and heat up container. My husband was out of town the week we did our tasting and I was so happy not to cook and just grab, go and feel great every night!
Paleo Shepherd's Pie - WOW! Loved this dish, even the kids enjoyed it and those aren't mashed potatoes on top! It was light and delicious and I felt like I'd cheated, and I like that.
Taco Stuffed Sweet Potato - This one was good, but not my fave of the samples. I think I was expecting the taco meat to actually be in a sweet potato underneath, but it was with roasted sweet potato. Good and filling.
Paleo Beef & Broccoli - Super yummy, loved this dish. Simple, easy, light and kid-friendly!
Paleo Bruschetta Chicken - As I said, this dish was the bomb! It was so good, I didn't want it to end. So much flavor and so filling. I shared this with a friend (and a nice white wine!) and we couldn't stop raving about it. I want this every week on my menu!
