Coming up with New Year’s Resolutions can be challenging. Sticking to them all year is even harder. However, we are here to help you conquer your resolutions this year.

There are many ways to create successful New Year’s Resolutions. Have you ever created a SMART goal? Well, if not, making a SMART goal is the key to fulfilling your resolution in the New Year. A SMART goal must be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic (or as we like to say, Risky) and Timely. If you create your resolutions with this checklist in mind, you are on the roadmap to success.

Another thing to keep in mind is creating small wins for yourself. If you make too large of a goal without mini-goals to get there, it will be really hard to reach the final destination. Focusing on smaller goals will help you break down your larger goal into manageable sections and progress points. By creating the mini-goals, you can measure your achievements on your map to the end goal.

So, first think of a big, HUGE goal for yourself that you believe is reachable in this New Year. Then, adhere to the SMART goal format and make sure your goal matches all of the criteria. After you’ve done that, make smaller goals for yourself that will allow you to reach your big goal!

Another way to goal crush in the New Year is to set a resolution for each month. This makes your whole year interactive and purposeful. Grab a planner and write each goal at the start of the month so you can remind yourself of what you should be working towards. Set smaller goals for the weeks that will allow you to reach your monthly goal. At the end of each month, you should have met your goal and created a habit for yourself to continue throughout the rest of the New Year!
