On Thursday, January 17^th, 2013 at 7pm  “How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular” is coming to the Honda Center.

It’s OK to admit that you saw the movie and LOVED IT. I know my kids and I both went nuts for the film, so as you can imagine, we are already marking our calendars for the live show. Didn’t see the movie? No problem! Watch the trailer below to get an idea of just how spectacular this show is going to be.

 

This is One of the most ambitious theatrical technologies ever to tour arenas. It takes a team of up to 161 people up to 36 hours to set up the show! Dragons “fly” around the arena and on the stage, propelled by technology inspired by railroads and roller coasters. The dragons travel up to speeds of 15-20 mph.

The show includes 13 different dragons, and all of them are unique.

All 5 of the larger dragons include: 885 feet of hydraulic hose, about 1000 square feet of dragon skin, 20 gallons of paint, 13 kilowatts of power from 18 truck batteries, and half a mile of cabling in each body, and they each weighs 2.6 tons (the weight of a standard family car).
