RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY ALERT

We are experiencing a number of residential burglaries in the City of Orange as a result of residents leaving their garage either open, partially open or side doors unlocked.  These garage burglaries occur at all hours.

Garage burglaries are often crimes of opportunity that occur when doors or windows are left open or unlocked.

To help prevent burglaries:
* Keep your doors and windows locked
* Secure your side gates and garage side doors
* Keep outside lighting on during hours of darkness
* Maintain landscaping to prevent hiding places

Immediately report any suspicious activity, to include someone soliciting door to door in your neighborhood by calling the Orange Police Dispatch at 714-744-7444 or 9-1-1 for any in-progress crime or emergency.
