June 9, 7am-4pm: Old Towne Flea Market which only happens every second Saturday of the month! More info HERE. The Flea Market is located at 146 N. Grand St.

June 9, 9am-12pm: Donate your used bikes to Bikes Build Futures! For more info about Bikes Build Futures, go HERE. Bikes Builds Futures is located at 2454A North Glassell St.

June 9, 9am-1pm: Orange Home Grown’s Old Towne Orange Farmers & Artistans Market. The featured farmer this week is Polito Farms, which is a small family operation out of Valley Center. The featured Artisan will be The Drip Stop, featuring coffee with a variety of tastes and intensities. It is also “Doggit at the Market” day! It is their first annual Dog Day at the market. There will be dog rescue groups, dog foods and dog merchandise. Orange Home Grown will also be handing out dog bandanas! For more information, check out their Facebook event HERE.

June 9, 9am, 11am & 1pm: Growing Heirloom Tomatoes class at Dragonfly Shops & Gardens. Learn the secrets to growing delicious heirloom tomatoes! There will also be an heirloom tomato tasting and you can go home with you very own organic heirloom tomato plant! Tickets are $15 per person. Call the shop at (714) 289-4689 to reserve your spot! Dragonfly Shops and Gardens is located at 260 N. Glassell St.

June 9, 10am: Historic Orange Walking Tour lead by the Orange County Historical Society! Docents share the story of Orange’s founding and the significance of some of its downtown buildings. More info HERE.

gallery on glassell OTO Events June 9 15June 9, 6-10pm: Gallery on Glassell presents South of the Borderm a collection of new paintings by Andrea Gaye, Marjorie Taylor, Ernerst Lacy and Hyatt Moore. South of the Border runs through July 8th. At the reception on June 9th, there will samples of gourmet items from Spain and California, including their new artisan coffees from the award-winning Jones Coffee Roasters. Payam Larijani will play acoustic guitar that night from 8-10pm as part of their Summer Guitar Odyssey series. Gallery on Glassell is located at 115 N. Glassell

They will take a modern look at hair through the decades. The night will be full of fashion, drinks and fun! Must be 21 or older to attend. For more about this great event, check out the blog that I wrote about it HERE. The event will be at The District Lounge which is located at 223 W. Chapman Ave.

June 13, 4-5pm: Creatures of the Night Party at the Orange Public Library and History Center. Celebrate zombies, werewolves and vampires with horrifying games, crafts and refreshments. The Orange Library is located at 407 E. Chapman Ave.

June 13, 6pm: General Meeting of the Old Towne Orange Preservation Association. This meeting will feature a first-hand account of restoring an Old Towne home by Gary and Diana Zdenek, who will share their story of restoring a 1919 California Cottage. The meeting will be held at Ruby’s Diner and Streamliner Lounge which is located at 186 N. Atchison St.
