Wow, just want to say that I am definitely ‘IN’ to the whole treat yourself part of life. Massages, facials, you name it…I’m for it. I’ve been to the fancy schmancy over the top spa’s (like the Montage in Laguna) which are fabulous and I’ve been to the Body Center down the street for a one-hour getaway at a good price.

You can imagine my delight when I found out that a spa had opened up literally across the street from my office. TROUBLE! I hopped over to give them a try the first week they were open and ‘oh my’ was I happy. Before I had a chance to talk with Owner Shila Patel at length, I was whisked away for a massage and facial. I had the Mamsa Realignment Therapy Massage, which was similar to a deep tissue massage (without the pain that sometimes comes along with that). They do 30, 60 and 90 minute massages. The 60 minute for this one is $85, which isn’t the cheapest price out there, but I think extremely reasonable for what you get, which is much more than just a massage.

When you arrive, the massage therapist takes a quick assessment of you, checks you over and then begins to address your needs. Really, you just get pampered and paid attention to, which is certainly an added bonus in my book. A few of the other services they offer at the spa are:

Both she and her husband are very kind and warm hearted, and happy to be doing what they’re doing which comes through in their business. Their approach to well-being is so much more than just giving you a treatment and rushing you out the door.
