Two Sisters in Old Towne Orange is Going Out of Business

Just found out that Two Sisters has announced they will be closing up shop. There’s a sign in their window that says “Time to Move On,” and they are liquidating their entire inventory. If you are a local and you love Two Sisters, then now’s your chance to go and show them some love. Their neighbors at CharmingShoppe let me know about this and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors, as do I. So sad to say good bye to such a quaint, charming business in our community…hopefully something equally unique will replace it.

Joanie’s Purse Project Brings Cheer to Women Living in Shelters

A wonderful way to bring some cheer into the lives of women this Mother’s Day is to make a simple donation.

“Joanie’s Purses” is an outreach program of the YWCA Central Orange County which provides purses filled with personal care items, snacks and small gifts to women in Orange County shelters and transitional housing programs.

You can help in one of 2 ways. Either make a donation based on the list of items needed below or show up on April 30 to volunteer your time in putting the purses together.

Acupuncture is Awesome!

I am a big proponent of Acupuncture, Osteopaths and other non-traditional types of treating your body’s issues. There have been many times in my life that I have used these types of doc’s to heal whatever it is that I’ve done to myself. Though, there was this one time that my step-dad gave me whiplash while trying to steal my winnings from a very serious game of Kanasta. Yep, he tried to steal a quarter from me and won! I had to go to the ER and had neck problems for EVER that were finally healed from a wonderful Osteopath in Santa Barbara, my first taste of non-traditional methods of healing. Since then, I’ve been hooked.
