I recently heard about and was invited to go on the new O.C. Wine Trolley that drives around Old Towne Orange each Friday night. Oh boy, what fun!! I am excited to report that it is a great way to spend a Friday evening and the price IS right…if you ask me anyway.
So, here’s what happens. You meet up at 6pm and hop on the trolley. It’s a covered trolley, so rain or shine, you are comfortable. Just as you are taking off, the Wine Sommelier serves up the first taste of the night, there are 5 total.

A Chapman student who is also the director of The Cell Project, a nonprofit organization that collects and recycles cell phones and donates the funds to charity projects is having a cell phone drive tomorrow and Wednesday (February 23 and 24) at Chapman University.
The drive is open to anybody to come by. They’ll have a booth to collect retired cell phones, working or not. Each cell phone will yield a raffle ticket, and at the end of the drive they will be raffling off prizes, including a ton of bear mountain/snow summit lift tickets.

She went on and on about how much she loved it, that it was right here at the Women’s Club in Old Towne Orange and that it was an awesome workout. This had me only thinking about potentially trying it out, not seriously though.

May 1, 2011 marks the 5th Annual Taste of Orange, put on by the Orange Blossoms Auxiliary, Assistance League of Orange®. This is such a fun event which I had the pleasure of attending for the first time last year. It was, in fact, this event that inspired me to become an Orange Blossom myself. Now, I have the honor of serving on the committee that gets to wrangle our local restaurants to participate in this year’s event.

I popped over to SunKissed Design today and met owner Maria Maag. She recently opened up shop right here in Old Towne Orange. Her flower studio specializes in weddings and events, but she also opens up shop prior to major holidays… and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, only 10 days away. In addition to ordering flowers for your loved one(s), she’s also hosting a boutique Friday-Sunday both this weekend and next.
